Hi there! I’m Karla Martin…

Art Director / Graphic Designer

I currently work in-house as a multimedia graphic designer at the leading marine-industry tech company, Boats Group. In this role, I help generate ideas and artwork for use across many touch-points, including email, social media, mobile apps, web portals, video, exhibitions/events, apparel, print, presentations, etc.

I hold a master’s degree in global strategic communications from Florida International University and an art direction certificate from Miami Ad School. At the University of Florida, I earned a bachelor’s in psychology.

I have one daughter, an array of pets, an insatiable appetite for trend hunting, pop culture, human nature, mother nature, and eccentricities. I enjoy tinkering with Adobe, doodling, colorful sunsets, collecting art, and live music. I also moonlight as a cursive writing advocate, interior designer, yogi, and LEGO builder.

I develop a story from a solid understanding of needs/wants. At the point in the story where brand and consumer meet, I help them fall in love through a beautiful, almost poetic experience and call to action.
